- When is Paw Parade being held?
Paw Parade takes place on Saturday, July 20th, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. - Where is Paw Parade being held?
Join us at The Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah, where we advocate for Positive Pet Experiences in a vibrant, pet-friendly atmosphere.
- What kind of animals will be at the show?
You’ll see a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, and small animals. - Can I bring my pet even if it’s not participating in a contest?
Absolutely! All pets are welcome. However, owners are responsible for ensuring their pets’ safety and wellbeing in a busy environment.
Pets must not be left tied outside or in vehicles unattended – such actions will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Are there any guidelines for pets attending the show?
Please ensure your pet: - Is healthy, with up-to-date vaccinations and parasite treatments
- Is comfortable in crowds, around other animals, and with children
- Responds to basic commands (for dogs)
- Is properly leashed, muzzled, or contained in a well-ventilated carrier
- Is not easily stressed by noise or large gatherings
- Canine breeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act of Trinidad & Tobago are not eligible to enter this event.

- What types of pets are recommended for the event?
Pets that are social, calm, and enjoy new experiences. Nocturnal or noise-sensitive pets like rodents may not be ideal for this setting. - Who is responsible for my pet at the event?
You are. Guardian Media Limited and its partners are not responsible for the care of pets during the event. Owners must supervise and handle their animals at all times.

What are the main costume categories?

Is there a maximum number of entrants allowed per category?
Yes. Each category will have a maximum of 15 entrants to ensure smooth show flow and judging efficiency.
- The exception to this is the “Look de Band Coming” category, where only 15 owners will be accepted, but they may enter groups of dogs in matching costumes.
- For safety and manageability, it is recommended not to exceed 10 dogs per owner in this category.
How will the 15 entrants per category be selected?
To ensure a diverse and creative showcase, selection will be curated based on the following criteria, rather than on a first-come-first-served basis:
- Concept Creativity – Uniqueness of the theme or costume idea submitted at registration.
- Design Intent – Thoughtfulness and vision behind the costume, even if not yet completed at the time of application.
- Storytelling – The backstory or message behind your costume entry (one or two lines in the form).
- Animal Welfare Consideration – Assurance that the costume is safe, comfortable, and non-restrictive to your pet.
- Category Fit – How well your proposed costume aligns with the selected category’s theme.
Applicants will be shortlisted by a small internal committee and notified of their status via email. Late applications may be considered only if space allows.
What are the judging criteria?
Costumes are judged on:
- Theme alignment
- Originality and creativity
- Design and craftsmanship
- Public appeal
- The “Mutt Strut” – pet performance and enjoyment
Bonus points for visual effects, tricks, choreography, and overall energy!
Will there be food and water available for pets?
Yes! Several of our sponsors will be offering a wide variety of pet foods from different brands to sample and purchase. Fresh water stations will also be available throughout the venue.
Can I purchase food and drinks for myself?
Definitely! A variety of food and beverage vendors will be on-site.
- What is the cost to register my pet for Paw Parade?
- The registration fee is $150 TTD per pet, per category. This allows your pet to compete in any of our exciting categories such as Best Dressed, Twin Tails & Tiaras, or the Carnival Paw-rade.
- You may register your pet in multiple categories, but each entry will incur a separate fee.
- If I register my pet, do I still need to buy a ticket for myself?
- All pet owners are still required to purchase a general admission ticket to attend Paw Parade, even if their pet is participating in the event.
- Your pet’s registration fee does not include entry for the owner or additional guests.
- How do I register my pet?
- Registration forms are available at Guardian Media’s head office (22-24 St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain) and online at 95theultimateone.
- Can I get tickets at the gate?
- A limited number of tickets will be sold at the gate. We highly recommend purchasing in advance from Island-Etickets.com for convenience and sustainability.
- Are kids free?
- Children under 12 are free but must still have a ticket. Claim free tickets via the main event page.
- I lost my ticket — what now?
- Check your email junk folder. If it’s still missing after 2 hours, contact our support team for assistance.
- Can I transfer my ticket if I can’t attend?
- Yes, tickets can be transferred to a friend or family member. Refunds are not available for change of plans.
Where can I park?
Parking is available around the Queen’s Park Savannah. Please arrive early to avoid congestion.
Is public transport nearby?
Yes, the venue is easily accessible via multiple public transport routes.
Do I need to buy separate tickets for stage shows?
Nope! All main stage performances are included with your entry ticket.
